For Australian secondary classrooms
Lesson visuals,
drawn while you wait.
Hand SolveBuddy a photo, a problem, or just an objective. Out comes a print-ready visual — a lesson poster, a worksheet, or a handout — drawn at poster quality, ready for class.
Aligned to the Australian Curriculum v9.0 (Years 7–10) and QCAA senior syllabuses (Years 11–12).
A 6 m ladder, base 2 m from the wall — how high does it reach?
How it works
Three steps. Roughly forty seconds.
- 01
Capture the question
Snap a photo of the textbook page on your phone, paste a problem from a worksheet you're building, or type one in. Photos work whether the problem is handwritten, printed, or projected.
- 02
Review the working
SolveBuddy reads the problem, identifies the topic and year level, and lays out the steps with descriptive headings, key results, and the supporting notes a teacher would write on the board. You skim, sense-check, and adjust.
- 03
Generate a printable visual
When you're satisfied, pick a format and generate. Out comes a print-ready PNG — a poster, a worksheet, a step strip, or a handout — with the working typeset, the diagram drawn, and the answer highlighted.
Across the curriculum
Built for Years 7 through 12.
Junior secondary algebra and geometry, Year 10A extension, QCAA General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, Specialist — the model is told the year level and adjusts vocabulary, notation, and the depth of working.
- Year 8 · Linear equations
Solve 3(x − 2) = 15 and verify by substitution.
Year 8Linear equations
Solve 3(x − 2) = 15 and verify by substitution.
- Year 10A · Cosine rule
Two sides 8 m and 6 m, included angle 70° — find the third side.
Year 10ACosine rule

- Year 11 General · Compound interest
$5,000 at 4.5% p.a., compounded quarterly for 3 years.

Curriculum aligned
Years 7–10 follow the Australian Curriculum v9.0 — the version QCAA has implemented. Years 11–12 cover the four QCAA senior syllabuses: General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, and Essential Mathematics.
Local vocabulary
Metres, not meters. Surds, not radicals. Step headings phrased the way an AU secondary teacher would write them on the board.
Print-ready
Every artefact renders at print resolution, with margins tuned for the staffroom copier and contrast that holds up in black-and-white. Pick the layout that fits the handout — a single poster sheet or one card per step.
Phone-first
Capture a problem on your phone between classes, review the working in transit, and generate the sheet by the time you're back at your desk. Tap targets, layouts, and actions are designed for one-thumb use.

Questions teachers ask
The short version.
- Is the working actually correct?
- The reasoning model solves the problem before it’s rendered, and the working is shown to you in plain text on the review screen so you can spot anything off. The visual generation step preserves the working the model produced — it doesn’t re-derive it. If a step is wrong, you see it before you generate, and again on the printed sheet.
- What happens to the photos I upload?
- Photos are stored in your private library, scoped to your account. They’re used to generate the lesson sheet for you and aren’t shared with other users. You can delete a problem and its associated assets at any time.
- How does it know my year level?
- It reads the problem and infers the topic and year based on Australian Curriculum v9.0 progression. You can also pass a hint (“Year 11 Mathematical Methods”) to lock the level — useful when a topic spans multiple years and the vocabulary differs.
- Can I edit a step before generating the visual?
- On the review screen you see every step with its key result and notes. The Refine action lets you regenerate the visual for a single step with new instructions, up to three times per step, so you can nudge the diagram or the layout without re-running the whole sheet.
- What subjects are supported today?
- Maths, Years 7–12, end-to-end — including the four QCAA senior subjects (General, Methods, Specialist, Essential). Science (chemistry and physics first) is on the way; humanities further out. Whatever the subject, the artefacts come out the same shapes.
